The Half Moon showing is located about 500 metres south of Lund, and about 16 kilometres northwest of Powell River. Access is by boat only. The showings comprise two old shafts of unknown depth (flooded) and an outcrop exposure at tidewater. They are named the Port Holes shaft, Ship's Bell shaft and the Shoreline showing. There are no records of when the work was done but their condition suggests some time in the early 1900's. Mineralization seen comprises weakly developed quartz carbonate stockwork in basalt with disseminated to blebby pyrite, magnetite and possibly sphalerite. Geology in the area is dominated by Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous gabbro/tonalite of the Coast Plutonic Suite. Small pendants of sedimentary and volcanic rocks of unspecified origin are exposed within the large intrusion. Similar mineralization occurs at the nearby John Bull showing (092F 147).
